The Telecom Dispute Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) will take up the issue of basic operators using mobile switching centres to offer WLL limited mobility services on August 19.

The matter had come up for directions today. TDSAT had earlier said that the issue of MSCs would be tackled after the main case on the legality of WLL services was disposed off.

Cellular operators had challenged the use of MSCs by WLL operators on grounds that it was beyond the guidelines issued by the government.
