Disclosing this in a press release, M Malakondaiah, the new joint managing director (vigilance & energy audit) of APTransco, stated that energy meters of very high accuracy class had been installed at all the interface points between Transco and Discoms (Distribution companies) and at interface points among the districts.
The data is obtained by directly downloading from the meters without any human intervention. It is now easier to know the exact district-wise drawls, and the district authorities can be made accountable for the energy sales and controlling the energy losses, he added.
