Telangana has over one lakh govt job vacancies

The Telangana government today said it would take steps to fill all the vacancies of the government posts besides focusing on the job creation in the industrial sector for addressing the unemployment problem.

There are about 1,07744 vacancies out of the total 5,23,675 sanctioned government posts in the state and some of the departments have already issued notifications for the recruitment in the present vacancies, finance minister Etela Rajander told the members in the state legislative Assembly.

The members of Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) raised the issue of unemployment asking the government to spell out its plans in this regard as the issue of jobs was one of the main factors behind the separate statehood movement and the subsequent formation of Telangana state.

Intervening in the discussion Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said the government would announce its industrial policy in a couple of days and would promoting pharma and other sectors for the sake of massive job creation in the private sector.
