Telangana IT minister K Taraka Rama Rao on Sunday said the state government would work to establish software services destination Hyderabad into a product-based innovation hub.

"At a time when the IT industry is witnessing digital revolution, and India having made its mark as an IT back-office of the world, my government is keen on encouraging firms developing new product-based innovations for the global IT sector," he said.

Speaking at the annual Pega developers conference of Pegasystems Inc. here, Rao said the state's ambitious T-Hub entrepreneurial initiative would incubate more than 5,000 prospective innovations in the next five years.
