“With zero-corruption as the sole agenda, the policy will be monitored by a special cell directly attached to the chief minister’s office. Under the new policy, all clearances for a project will be given within three to four weeks,” he told mediapersons on Tuesday.
Inaugurating New York-based real estate developer Trishman Speyer’s IT park Waverock’s Phase-2.1 and laying the foundation for Phase 2.2, Rao said his government was working towards making Hyderabad a Digital City by creating international-standard infrastructure.

While Waverock Phase-2.1 has been built with an investment of Rs 200 crore, adding 700,000 sft of office space and accommodating close to 7,000 IT and ITeS professional, the company expects to commence work on Phase-2.2 pretty soon and complete it within two years from now, said Jerry Speyer, chairman and co-chief executive officer.
The company operates over 358 projects totaling over 123 million sft with a portfolio of $68.8 billion in 11 countries. It entered India in 2007. Trishman Speyer's Waverock, its flagship project in India, involves a total investment of Rs 1, 050 crore. Once completed, the Waverock project would offer over two million sft of office space.
Stating that the company was currently executing projects in five different locations in China involving over 20 million sft while 17 different projects across four cities in Brazil were under way, Speyer said they were looking at major cities in India as well to expand.
“We always invest in cities where we can do more than one project ... we have a larger appetite to invest in India,” he added.
On the delay in commencing work on Trishman Speyer’s Techno City at Tellapur here, encompassing mixed-development, including residential, commercial, IT offices, retail, healthcare, hospitality and civic amenities, Speyer, however, declined to comment.
