Telecom Minister Manoj Sinhaon Tuesday said action will be taken against telecom firms that fail to provide quality services to consumers.

"We will initiate action against telecom companies which fail to provide quality services to consumers," he told reporters here.

On state-owned BSNL performance, Sinha said the company was running in loss since 2007 and now for the first time it has earned profit. The Minister also claimed that the NDA government has invested Rs 20,000 crore in BSNL in 1 year.

He further said that 28 lakh jobs will be created in five years in four government companies through skill development.

On the ongoing infighting in Samajwadi Party, Sinha said it is an internal matter of the party and family.

"Actually, the feud is over distribution of booty looted during over four years of its government... And because of the infighting in the ruling party, development schemes are suffering in the state," he said.
