The government has decided to give an additional three months, till March 2007, to telecom operators for complying with the foreign direct investment (FDI) norms.Finance Minister P Chidambaram made the announcement today after a cabinet meeting. Operators having FDI up to 74% were earlier required to abide by the guidelines by January 2, 2007.
