Textile firms told to gear up to meet competition

 The textile industry will have to look to other countries to tap opportunities offered by them.

 Stating this at a felicitation function organised by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) in Surat on Saturday, Union external affairs minister Yashwant Sinha cited the example of the African Growth and Opportunities Act in the US which allows duty-free excess of goods from African nations.
