Nine ministers took oath in Jaipur at a function that was marked by dignity and celebratory in spirit.
The ministers include Gulab Chand Kataria, Ghanshyam Tiwari, Kirodi Lal Meena, Sanwar Lal Jat, Madan Dilawar, Narpat Singh Rajvi, Prabhu Lal Saini, Kanak Mal Katara and Yunus Khan.
What stood out in the ceremony was that Vasundhara Raje herself went to receive former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at the swearing in and escorted him to the front row.
She had earlier telephoned him to invite him to the function. For a few hours at least, the acrimony of the campaign was put aside.
