UP govt transfers Noida CEO, top industrial deptt officials

Sanjiv Saran, CEO Noida, has been put on waiting list, while CEO Greater Noida Rama Raman has been given additional charge of CEO Noida

In a significant administrative overhaul, the Uttar Pradesh government yesterday transferred five senior IAS officials, including top industrial department bureaucrat, and the CEO of Noida.

Anil Kumar Gupta, UP infrastructure and industrial development commissioner (IIDC) and principal secretary, infrastructure and industrial development and IT and electronics, has been transferred as member, revenue board, Lucknow. It is considered as insignificant posting in official circles.

Gupta was also the chairman of UP Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL), UP State Power Transmission Corporation and UP Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam, Lucknow.

He was considered close to the state dispensation and had the confidence of chief minister Akhilesh Yadav. The number of departments he headed were just a testimony to the fact.

Besides, Sanjiv Saran, CEO Noida has been put on waiting list, while CEO Greater Noida Rama Raman has been given additional charge of CEO Noida.

Meanwhile, principal secretary technical and vocation education Rajiv Kapur has been given the additional charge of principal secretary infrastructure and industrial development and executive director Udyog Bandhu.

Commissioner Lucknow and principal secretary information department Sanjiv Kumar Mittal has been transferred as principal secretary power and chairman UPPCL, UP State Power Transmission Corporation and UP Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam.
