The UPA government is considering a slew of hard-line measures, including setting up fast track courts to deal with cases of terrorism, in the aftermath of Saturday’s serial blasts in Delhi that killed 30 people and injured at least 100.

The measures, which were discussed at today’s meeting of top guns in charge of nation’s security, headed by National Security Advisor M K Narayanan, would be soon sent to the state governments.

Emerging out of the meeting, Narayanan said the “states would be sent a list of dos and don’ts to deal with the threat of terrorism”. These measures, he said, were being finalised by the home ministry.

The security and investigating agencies failed to achieve any major breakthrough in the case although they claimed to have obtained “major clues” to the identity of the executioners of yesterday’s blasts.
