The Uttar Pradesh government today announced building of a 1,000 km, eight-lane expressway connecting Ballia in the east with Noida in the west at a cost of Rs 40,000 crore.The expressway will be built entirely on private investment and the state government would only act as a facilitator.The project would cut down the travel time between Varanasi and Delhi by about eight to ten hours.
