A proposal was being prepared and would be sent to the central government through the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Industry Secretary Sanjiv Chopra told Business Standard.
For setting up IIDCs, the Centre had enhanced its grant from Rs 2 crore to Rs 4 crore, he said. SIDBI would give Rs 1 crore as loan for setting up each centre to the state government, he added.
After setting up IIDCs in four districts including Dehra Dun and Hardwar, the scheme would be extended to the remaining 9 districts, Chopra said.
