Addressing a press conference here, Parikh said he expected that the Congress and most of the independents would extend support to MJP from outside to form a stable, capable and working government.
Parikh, who had recently staked his claim to form a new government in the state, today met the Governor, Krishnapal Singh and held talks with him for a few minutes in the morning.
He said the Governor could not give him more time as he was to attend a meeting of the Morarji Desai centenary celebration committee. But he had asked Parikh to see him in the evening and enquired about the number of MLAs supporting him and if Parikh had received any letter from the Congress declaring support to MJP.
Parikh said he would submit a list of MJP MLAs to the Governor. However, he declined to disclose the number of MLAs. It is sufficient to form a government with outside support from Congress and independents.
