Vibration 2006 event ends in Rajkot

The two-day national level technical symposium Vibrations 2006 concluded on Wednesday at VVP Engineering College in the city . The event was witnessed by participants from across 35 colleges and technical education institutes of the country.
 
"We had received around 1,600 entries, out of which, we have selected 1,243 entries. There are 706 students from 35 colleges and technical education institutes across the country; who displayed their projects in various engineering faculties and allied application areas," said Nilesh Kalani, co-ordinator of the event.
 
Lecture by experts from related faculty was also arranged for students as part of knowledge interaction programme, he added.
 
Robotics, softwares, engineering application devices, models, simulator and so on were being designed by the students who have participated in this event.
 
Talking to Business Standard college principal said, "Our aim is not only to educate students but to also let them have practical exposure by allowing them to interact with students of other educational institutes and let them compete on their skill-set."
