The city-based Vishrutha Logistics Ltd, the first private sector container freight station in Tamil Nadu, is expected to go operational in June 2004.
The Rs 16.61 crore project at Vallur village near Ennore Port would be spread over 30 acres, which will include the provision for a custom-bonded warehouse.
Company officials said that a further 25 acres would be acquired at the same location to establish connection with the rail head at the New Athipatti station. Debt to the tune of Rs 7.5 crore is expected to be finalised during the course of the month.
