Voters Have Few Options To Choose From

That the Gujarat elections will throw up a hung House appears to be the easiest conclusion that psephologists and cautious political analysts are tending to draw as the campaign picks up in the state.

The reason is: though the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has incurred the people's wrath for its performance, or the lack of it, during its nine-year rule, at the moment there is no discernible wave in the Congress favour.

In that sense the Gujarat Assembly elections highlights the limited political choices before the electorate.
