Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) has established another national record by loading highest quantity of 1,03,500 tonnes of iron ore in 24 hours from 14:35 hours on March 14 to 14:35 hours on March 15, into the MMTC nominated vessel M.V. Blazing river.
According to a port press release, the entire parcel of 1,30,000 tonnes is required to be loaded wir party terms where as, the actual time taken by the ship to complete the loading is only 30 hours thus reducing vessel's stay by18 hours, which yielding benefits to the exchequer.
