The Dow Jones industrial average was up nine points to 12,322. The Nasdaq was up two points at 2455.The Indian ADRs ended with smart gains. Patni Computers surged 4.5% to $20.96. ICICI Bank, MTNL and Tata Motors rallied over 2% each to $39.18, $5.99 and $18.33, respectively. Satyam, Wipro, VSNL and Dr.Reddy's were up 1-2% each. Infosys, however, dropped 3.3% to $53.44.
