Upset with the CBI filing a closure report, the parents of murdered teenager Aarushi Talwar today said they would consult their lawyers before deciding on their future course of action to take the case forward.

"Our lawyers have not yet read the closure report and, hence, so we cannot say anything. As a mother, I would say that we won't rest in peace till the case moves forward," said Nupur Talwar, mother of Aarushi, whose murder here had shocked the country over two years back.

She also said the couple would seek an appointment with the probe agency's director as they had not expected such a step.

"We will request him (CBI Director) for an appointment. I hope he will meet us," Nupur said.

Aarushi's father Rajesh Talwar said he did "not expect the premiere agency to close the case in this manner.

"We have faith in the CBI. The CBI is a premiere investigating agency. We have a lot of hope from them. We thought they would definitely be able to get to the people who did this to Aarushi," Rajesh said.

"We have been completely let down by the system. First it was the UP police and now the CBI."

Nupur blamed the Noida Police for botching up the investigation.

The CBI had yesterday filed a closure report in the Aarushi double murder case before a court on the grounds there was no available evidence at the crime scene to pursue the probe, meeting a dead-end in the case that shook the country over two years back.

Aarushi, 14, was murdered in the intervening night of May 15-16 in 2008 along with their domestic help Hemraj, whose body was found from the terrace of the house.

After a detailed two-and-a-half year probe marked by botched up investigations, the CBI said it found it impossible to reach any plausible conclusion because of lack of concrete forensic evidence at the crime scene to nail the culprits and decided to close the case.
