Western Coalfields Set To Better Output Goal For 2001-02

Western Coalfields Ltd (WCL) is set to surpass its annual committed coal production target of 36.5 million tonne for 2001-02.

S V Chaoji, chairman-cum-managing director, WCL, said the company had achieved a production of 27 million tonne during April-December 2001, a growth of 7.8 per cent against 25 million tonne during the same period last year.
