VP Sree Divya, an alumnus of city-based Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST), has entered the Limca Book of Records as ‘Undergraduate researcher with the most number of international research publications’.
Divya is the youngest researcher to bag this award by competing with researchers and professionals globally. She has to her credit 16 published international and national research papers.
All the publications are joint research projects, and most of them focused on power engineering, electricity energy conservation, management, balance and restoration of electricity during crisis. Seven more research projects are in the pipeline.
The 20-year-old started doing research in 2005 and authored her first research paper at 16 with the help of her mentor professor P Ravi Babu. Her papers were awarded the best research papers by international organisations including World Congress on Engineering and Computer Sciences, The World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society, among others.
K T Mahi, secretary, SNIST, said, “We are very poor in research work, and we should encourage young talents like her, for their commitment, dedication and passion.”
