YSR to meet Montek Singh

The Andhra Pradesh government is hopeful of getting the Planning Commission's nod for an annual plan outlay of Rs 30,000 crore proposed by it for the year 2007-08.
 
The proposed plan size, which is higher by 30 per cent compared with last year's outlay, is highest among the plan outlays of all other states in the country.
 
Chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy is scheduled to meet the planning commission deputy chairman and other officials on Monday for finalising the annual plan outlay.
 
The state has estimated to have spent Rs 19,552 crore under the plan as compared with the approved plan outlay of Rs 20,000 crore during the year 2006-07.
 
According to the draft proposals, the total plan outlay for the year 2007-08 has been projected at Rs 30,013 crore, including the central assistance as well as the state's borrowings our of a total estimated expenditure of Rs 70,053 crore for the same period.
