Chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, who is going to New Delhi tomorrow on a three-day visit, is scheduled to meet Vinod Khosla, well-known NRI venture capitalist, on Tuesday.

The purpose of the meeting is to work out ideas for Khosla's partnership with the government of Andhra Pradesh in developing big projects such as SEZs and infrastructure projects among others in the state.

Working on the concept of how to compete with China, Vinod Khosla is said to have chosen Andhra Pradesh for initiating some of his plans in this direction based on the advice of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, government sources told Business Standard here today.

The chief minister is expected to discuss with him the investment opportunities and important pipeline projects in the state besides seeking his direct participation in some of the big ventures during his one-hour long meeting.

Besides, Reddy will attend a party meeting on the same day for the finalisation of dates and arrangements for the proposed AICC Plenary session scheduled in Hyderabad in September, 2005.

Over 15,000 AICC delegates from across the country are expected to attend the party plenary. He will meet Manmohan Singh and AICC president Sonia Gandhi during his visit.

The chief minister will attend the National Integration Council meeting on Wednesday and is also likely to meet Union ministers for finance, agriculture, environment, water resources and home on Thursday on various issues.
