United States Trade Represen- tative (USTR) Robert Zoellick today upped the ante and said that India would be the eventual loser if it fails to go along with the idea of a new round of negotiations at the forthcoming meetings of the World Trade Organisation in Doha.
Failure to generate consensus for a fresh round of negotiations would mean a fall back to bilateral and plural arrangements of trade, which would not be in the best interests of the developing world, he argued while addressing a joint meeting of the industry associations.
