Registration for IBPS Clerk 2017 examination has already begun. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will be conducting the IBPS Clerk Exam 2017-18 (Prelim) in the first week of December 2017 i.e. 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th and the Main on January 21, 2018. The IBPS conducts these exams every year to recruit the capable candidates for clerical posts in the banks (Participating Organizations) that participate in this recruitment program. Those students who score minimum qualifying marks in the prelim become eligible for the Main exam.

Since the IBPS Clerk exam is one of the highly competitive exams in the country, one must take the exam as diligently as possible. There have been numerous cases of candidates resorting to unfair means to score maximum marks. Considering the unethical practice of any nature, the IBPS has laid out certain disciplinary codes that must be followed by the candidates. The one who does not follow the same becomes liable to be disqualified.

The candidates would be disqualified from the examination, debarred either forever or for a stipulated period if he or she is found guilty of misconduct/ use of unfair means. Candidates are advised in their own interest that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered with or fabricated and should not suppress any material information while submitting online application.

He or she will face elimination from the IBSC examinations if the candidate, at the time of Preliminary examination, Main examination, or in a subsequent selection procedure, is found guilty of
  • using unfair means or impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person
  • misbehaving in the examination hall or disclosing, publishing, reproducing, transmitting, storing or facilitating transmission and storage of contents of the test(s) or any information therein in whole or part thereof in any form or by any means, verbal or written, electronically or mechanically for any purpose
  • resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his/ her candidature
  • obtaining support for his/ her candidature by unfair means
  • Carrying mobile phones or similar electronic devices of communication in the examination hall.
The IBPS reserves the right to terminate the service, if he/ she has already joined the Participating Organisations. Keep in mind that the IBPS would be analyzing the responses (answers) of individual candidates with other candidates to detect patterns of similarity of right and wrong answers. If in the analytical procedure adopted by IBPS in this regard, it is concluded that the responses have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine/ valid, the IBPS reserves right to cancel the candidature of the concerned candidates and the result of such candidates (disqualified) will be withheld. No representation in this regard shall be entertained.

The candidate will be disqualified for providing incorrect information and/or process violation at any stage of the selection process and he/she will not be allowed to appear in any of the Common Recruitment Process in the future. If such instances for giving misinformation go undetected during the current selection process but are detected subsequently, such disqualification will take place with retrospective effect. Clarifications / decisions given / to be given by the Director, IBPS, regarding process for recruitment of Clerks in Participating Organisations (CWE CLERKS-VII) shall be final and binding.

Objects Not Allowed: Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner etc. are not allowed to be carried to the exam centre. Any communication device like Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band etc., other items like Goggles, Handbags, Hair-pin, Hair-band, Belt, Cap, etc., all ornament like Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain/Necklace, Pendants, Badge, brooch etc. should be thoroughly checked. Also any watch/Wrist Watch, Camera, etc., Any metallic item, any eatable item opened or packed, water bottle etc., any other item which could be used for unfair means for hiding communication devices like camera, blue tooth devices etc. are strictly now allowed.

The candidate carrying one of these items will face the cancellation of his or her candidature. Candidates are advised not to bring any of the banned items to the examination centre. This is because arrangement for their safekeeping cannot be guaranteed. The IBPS or any agency conducting the online examination shall not take any responsibility for loss of any of the items.
