ICSE, ISC results 2018 to be out on Monday, 3 pm: Here's how to check score

The results for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), class 10, and Indian School Certificate (ISC), class 12 exams will be released by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) at 3 pm on Monday. 

CISCE will announce the ICSE and ISC results after a press conference at the Council's office in Noida, according to reports.

After the announcement, students can check their result on CISCE's official website www.cisce.org. The results will also be available on cisce.examresults.net, results.nic.in and cisce.azurewebsites.net.

"The CISCE council will announce the results at 3 pm on May 14. The results will be made available through CAREERS portal, the website of the council and through SMSes," CISEC Chief Executive and Secretary Gerry Arathoon told PTI on Tuesday.

Here is a step-by-step guide to help you download your ICSE class 10 and ISC class 12 result 2018 after they are announced:

Step 1: Log on to the official website cisce.org

Step 2: Click on either ICSE Class 10 Results 2018 or ISC Class 12 Results 2018

Step 3: Enter the roll number and registration number

Step 4: Enter Submit

Step 5: Download the ICSE Results 2018 and ISC Results 2018

Steps to receive ICSE, ISC results via SMS:

Step 1: Open message app in your mobile

Step 2: Type message in the following format -  ICSE <space> 1234567 (seven digit unique id)

Step 3: Send the message to 09248082883

In a piece of good news for students who took the exams this year, CISCE has slashed pass marks for both class 10 and class 12 exams. Class 10 students now need only 35 per cent marks to pass the exam, down by 5 marks from the previous year's required pass mark of 40.

A total of 266,011 students had reportedly appeared in the examinations -- 184,253 of them in the class 10 examination. 

The ICSE exam 2018 were held from February 26 to March 28, while the ISC exam were conducted from February 7 to April 2.

Last year, 98.58 per cent students had cleared the exam. Muskan Abdullah Pathan from Pune and Ashwin Rao from Bengaluru had topped the class 10 exams, with 99.4 per cent marks each.
