ODISHA: Higher Secondary Results And Admission. Check your status.

Finally the results for the 2017 degree admission have been announced by the Higher Education Department (HED) Odisha (Orissa). The HED issued the first selection list for degree +3 to public on its official website HEDodisha.gov.in. Of 234893 students who had applied for different streams, 157188 have been selected to take admission in Phase 1 according to official sources. Official statistics are found here. The candidates who have been selected will go through the admission process from July 3 (Monday). The second list is set to be declared on July 7 (Friday). The lectures will start from July 19 (Wednesday). You can check the entire schedule of events here.

How to check your results:
  • Visit the official website HEDodisha.gov.in.
  • Click on “HED Odisha +3 result 2017 link” on Home Page
  • Provide your registration number, password and date of birth.
  • Your allotment result will be displayed
The candidates who have provided their mobile number in CAF will also get intimation from the HED Odisha via SMS. The colleges will be showing the names of the selected candidates on their notice board. The HED has laid out certain parameters that determine the eligibility of the students for admission. They should have passed +2 or Higher Secondary exams of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (Odisha) or can have its equivalent. Admission will be given to the selected students on merit basis only. Merit list is prepared on the basis of total marks secured in Higher Secondary exam, weightage and the category (ST, SC, OBC etc.) For the candidates clearing the Higher Secondary (+2) / equivalent examination compartmentally, average of marks in the subjects at both the exams will be considered to conclude the aggregate.

Also the Students Academic Management System (SAMS) archives the academic and financial records of all the students admitted into different colleges. In case of any queries regarding short list, admission, students or their parents can reach the authorities at the toll-free number (155335 or 1800-345-6770). Parents must keep in mind that no official information will be communicated via post.
