OICL AO 2017: Last Date To Apply Is September 15

Oriental Insurance Company Limited (OICL) has invited applications for the recruitment of 300 AO (Administrative Officers) in varied domains such as Accounts, Actuaries, Generalists, Legal, Automobile Engineers and Medical Officers. The online registration for the same has commenced from 18th August 2017 and the last date to register and submit application on the Oriental Insurance Company Limited (OICL) website is 15th September 2017. The number of AO Scale-I vacancies for various specializations are as under:

OICL AO 2017 Examination – Important Dates
Online Registration Starts 18th August 2017
Last Date to Submit Application 15th September 2017
Online Examination (Phase I ) 22nd October 2017
Online Examination (Phase II) 18th November 2017

About OICL AO 2017 Examination
The OICL AO 2017 examination is divided in to three phases Phase I, II and III. Phase I or the preliminary exam will be of 100 marks and consist of objective type question covering the following topics English language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. Duration for Phase I is 60 minutes (1 hour). The examination will be conducted in online mode (computer-based).

Phase II will consist of Objective questions for 200 marks and Descriptive question for 30 marks. The question will depend upon the specialisation. Phase II will be also conducted in online mode (computer-based).
Phase III will be personal interview in which only shortlisted candidates will be called. Number of candidates called for interview at select centres will be 3 times the number of vacancies. After which final merit list will be prepared depending upon the marks obtained in the written examination and interview.

Eligibility Parameters:
For Generalist: Candidates should have completed graduation from a recognised university and must have scored a minimum of 60% marks (General/OBC Category) or 55% marks (SC/ST Category).
For Accounts: Candidates should have completed M.com or MBA Finance from a recognised university and must have scored a minimum of 60% marks (General/OBC Category) or 55% marks (SC/ST Category). Alternatively candidates should have requisite qualification from Chartered Accountants (ICAI) or Cost and Management Accountant (The Institute of Cost Accountants of India).  

For Actuaries: Candidates should have completed graduation from a recognised university and must have scored a minimum of 60% marks (General/OBC Category) or 55% marks (SC/ST Category). Candidates should also have passed four Actuarial Papers from Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) or Institute and Faculty of Actuary, UK (IFoA)
For Automobile Engineers: Candidates should have completed engineering with automobile as a subject and should have scored a minimum of 60% marks (General/OBC Category) or 55% marks (SC/ST Category)
For Legal: Candidates should have completed graduation in law from a recognised university and must have scored a minimum of 60% marks (General/OBC Category) or 55% marks (SC/ST Category)
For Medical: Candidates should have completed MBBS degree
Candidates should have completed 21 years of age and should not be above 30 years of age as on 31st July 2017. Relaxation in upper age limit will be granted to reserved category candidates as per government norms.

Step by Step Application Procedure
  1. Candidates may apply online by visiting the official website - orientalinsurance.org.in and then visiting the career section
  2. Candidates need to first register using a valid email ID and mobile number after which they will be provided with Provisional Registration Number and Password
  3. Candidates then need to login and fill the application form by providing all personal and educational details and uploading a scanned recent coloured passport sized photograph and signature
  4. Candidates then need to pay the require application fee using credit, debit card or internet banking
