SSC: Final Results of Junior Engineer Exam 2016 Paper II

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to announce the final result of the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying and Contract) Examination 2016 Paper II on 30th November 2017 (Thursday) its official sites. (See the table here). Candidates can check out their results on the same when the results are made public. The result list will display the names and roll numbers of those candidates who will appear at the commission for document verification. Keep in mind that the candidates who do not go for the document verification will not be considered for verification. The candidates will be contacted individually by the Commission with details pertaining to the place and time of the document verification process. Candidates are therefore advised to keep a check on their registered mobile numbers and email addresses for further instructions.

The SSC conducts the exam for recruitment of Junior Engineers (JE), to Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts, in two phases. While the 1st phase (Paper I) is a Computer based exam, the 2nd Phase (Paper II) is a written exam. On scoring equal to or higher than the minimum qualifying marks (to be decided by SSC), the candidates qualify for Paper II.

How to check the results (Once announced): Candidates should visit the official site of the Commission at ssc.nic.in. On the home page in the Latest News section, search for ‘Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying and Contract) Examination, 2016 - Declaration of Final result’ link. Clicking on the same will redirect you to a new page (Table). Click on the Results link.

SSC JE Examination Performance in 2015: The result of Paper-II (Descriptive Paper) of Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying and Contract) Examination, 2015 was declared on 16th December, 2016 for Document Verification. After fixing of cut-off on the marks in Paper-I, 6788 candidates qualified for evaluation of Paper-II of Civil Engineering and 1801 candidates qualified for evaluation of Paper-II of Electrical/Mechanical Engineering on the basis of marks obtained in Paper-I. Also, after fixing of cut-off on marks in Paper-II, 3291 candidates qualified in Civil Engineering and 836 candidates qualified in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering for Document Verification. Candidates were allocated amongst various posts keeping in their merit-cum-preference. Keeping in view the vacancy position, category-wise details of the 1572 candidates qualified in Select List for appointment to the posts located in different Departments.
