TNUSRB common recruitment examination 2017 results, cut-off announced

Candidates can check their results on the official website, tnusrbonline.org.

The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) declared the results and cut-off of its common recruitment examination 2017 on July 7, 2017 on its official website tnusrb.tn.gov.in and tnusrbonline.org.

The board began registration to recruit police constables, jail warders and firemen on January 23, 2017 and the applicants were allowed to submit their applications till February 22, 2017.

About 10 lakh candidates applied for and according to media reports 5.5 lakh have appeared for the examination. The board is looking at recruiting a total of 15664 vacancies. The posts will be offered to men and women.

TNUSRB 2017
TNUSRB conducted recruitment examination May 21, 2017 in various centres across the state. The exam was 1 hour 20 minutes long and a total of 80 marks were asked on general knowledge and psychology. 

Earlier this month, the board released the preliminary answer key for the multiple-choice questions (MCQ) based exam and the candidates were given time to raise objections.

TNUSRB results 2017
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to download the results:
  1. Go to the official website tnusrbonline.org
  2. Click on the Results of written examination held on 21.05.2017 in the Ongoing Recruitment column under Common recruitment - 2017 (Gr. II Police Constables, Gr. II Jail Warders, Firemen) link on the homepage
  3. A new page will open displaying region-wise links
  4. Click on the link of the centre appeared for exam at
  5. Check the register number in the pdf file that opens
  6. Take a print out for future reference
Candidates called for next stage will be able to download call letter from the website from July 12, 2017 onwards by logging in with enrolment number and date of birth. The marks will not be disclosed. Those not selected for next stage can view their marks from July 12, 2017 too by logging in with enrolment number and date of birth.

TNUSRB PMT and PET 2017
Candidates who have cleared the examination will be called for the physical measurement test (PMT), endurance test and physical efficiency test (PET). For the second stage of selection process, candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:5.

For the PMT, the male candidate’s height should be 170 cm for general category and 167 cm for reserved. Similarly for women and transgender candidate, it should be 159 cm and reserved category applicants height should be 157 cm.
