Around 88% voter turnout was recorded at a polling booth in Bishnupur Lok Sabha seat in Bankura district where repolling was held today.
Till 6 pm around 88% voter turnout was recorded at the repolling which was peaceful, District Magistrate and Returning Officer Bijaya Bharati said.
The repoll was ordered after the presiding officer of the polling booth complained to the district magistrate and returning officer that the local Trinamool Congress MLA Dipali Saha had forcefully cast 100 votes in booth number 27 at Sahapur.
An FIR was also lodged against Dipali Saha who is absconding, the police said.
