BJP leader Harsh Vardhan today said that the Aam Aadmi Party is like a "sinking ship" and many of their leaders are getting disillusioned with the party's policies and programmes as "it preaches something and practices something else."

"It is quite evident now that most people who have been working with AAP are getting disillusioned with the party's policies and programmes because the party preaches something and practices something else", Vardhan, the BJP's Delhi President, said.

"It appears that the party is like a sinking ship now with its connections with the foreign agencies quite clear to the people. There is no inner democracy in the party. The founder members are getting disillusioned and raising serious and pertinent questions," he said.

He was reacting to AAP's National Executive member Ashok Agarwal resigning from the party, saying that it worked like a private limited company with an aim to promote "elite individuals".

Vardhan further said that if people come to know even 10- 20% of what actually AAP is from inside, it will no longer remain a party.

He said that the 18 issues based on which AAP took Congress's support to form the government, AAP has not delivered on any single issue.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the all the 70 candidates who contested Delhi Assembly elections, Pradesh office-bearers, Districts Presidents, General Secretaries and Mahila Morcha was held under the chairmanship of Vardhan.

Vardhan directed all the office bearers present in the meeting that they should immediately start preparations for the Lok Sabha elections and also activate the workers in their areas.
