Congress candidate from Amritsar Amarinder Singh today accused Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia of "using" some police officers to intimidate and arm-twist his party workers.
Singh said if Majithia does not mend his ways the same police officers would be unleashed on him later when Congress comes to power in the state.
"Let me make it clear to you that the same police officers whom you are trying to use to intimidate and arm-twist the Congress workers will be unleashed on you," Singh said.
Speaking on Majithia's "concern" about his delayed arrival to Amritsar, Singh said whether he comes a week or two after the announcement of his candidature it will not have any impact on love and affection the people of Amritsar have for him. "It will be reflected during the election itself," he added.
