Addressing a rally in support of his party candidate from the Moradabad Lok Sabha seat S P Hasan here, Akhilesh listed out his government's achievements in the past two years and what it has planned for future.
The Chief Minister tried to woo Muslims and weaker sections of the society, including artisans and weavers, and assured them to fulfil all their demands. He also promised to waive bank loans of artisans.
He said BJP was "the party of propaganda" and its leadership was "a bunch of liars". He said while BJP depended on advertisements, his Samajwadi Party believed in work.
Referring to wild animal exchange programme with Gujarat Government, Akhilesh said that "(Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP's prime ministerial candidate) Modi always complained about lions, but forget about hyenas and other animals we gave them". He also termed BJP leaders as "beimaan (dishonest)" and "chaalu (cunning)".
Training his gun on BSP, the Chief Minister said, "A party in UP specialises in spending the hard-earned public money on building statues and parks."
Without naming BSP chief Mayawati, Akhilesh said that "she even installed her own statues in her lifetime". He also alleged that BSP candidates are spending illegal money in a bid to win the election.
He said despite the country's economy depending on Muslims their condition was not satisfactory. He flayed the Congress for failing to implement the recommendations of Justice Sachar Commission and Ranganath Misra Commission.
Moradabad Lok Sabha seat goes to poll on April 17.
