Sitting MP and Rashtriya Lok Dal candidate from Mathura LS seat Jayant Chaudhary and AAP nominee Anuj Garg have been booked for alleged violation of Model Code of Conduct, police said today.
In the first incident, a case was registered against Chaudhary after Sub Divisional Magistrate (Sadar) Rajesh Kumar found that he had organised a public meeting on Saturday last at Pushp Vaitka without taking prior permission from the district officials, a police official said, adding it was also in violation of section 144 of CrPC.
Sitting Congress MLA Pradeep Mathur had also participated in the meeting. Also, the RLD candidate had organised a feast in which over 1,000 people had participated, he added.
According to police, Garg was hold a press conference in a hotel in the city and when a flying squad arrived there and wanted to record a video of it, he and his supporters not only allegedly misbehaved with the officials but also prevented them from recording the proceedings.

In another incident of violation of MCC, AAP candidate from Mathura Anuj Garg was booked for organising a press meet without taking prior permission from the Electoral office.
