The Congress was "keen and eager" to see party chief Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra play a bigger role in the election campaign, its national spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said Saturday.
"Yes, I accept the entire party is very keen and eager that she should campaign more and that is true of every election...," he told reporters here, also adding that Priyanka Gandhi has made her position clear on many occasions.
"She has said repeatedly that 'I am very much in politics but my boundaries are restricted to certain regions where I look upto my brother, my mother'," he said.
Countering questions from the media about her husband Robert Vadra, Singhvi pointed out that the apex court's verdict has given him a clean chit.
"This is an old issue. As far as Robert Vadra is concerned, at least two high courts and the apex court have all clearly rejected these allegations," he said.
BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, in his election rallies, has called Vadra a "magician" who multiplied his wealth very fast.
