Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babulal Gaur welcomed Jamiat-Ulema-e-Hind chief Maulana Madani's statement here today that there is no need for the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to apologise for Gujarat riots nor any need to wear a skull cap.

Gaur said that Madani's statement is based on reality, since development is the need of the hour for all sections of society.

The minister also said that those who are afraid of defeat in the Lok Sabha polls have created fears against Modi in the minds of minorities.

Congress is fooling minorities by wearing skull caps and seeking their votes and cheating them later in the name of development.

He also said that the fear that the country would get divided if Modi becomes Prime Minister had no substance and is the creation of pseudo-secularists.
