Criticises Narayanasamy for not bringing in industrial development

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and General Secretary of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) J Jayalalithaa has alleged that the Chief Minister of Puducherry, N Rangasamy, has betrayed the party and the people of Puducherry.

Speaking in a public meeting organised as part of the election campaign, she said that while the NR Congress was in tie up with AIADMK during the assembly election in 2011, but later made a government leaving the partner out. By this, he has not only betrayed AIADMK, but also the people of Puducherry, she alleged.

Puducherry has seen a drop in growth since the Planning Commission has allowed only Rs 2,000 crore during the current fiscal year for planned expenditure while it was around Rs 3,000 crore during the previous fiscal year.

She also came down heavily on V Narayanasamy, Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, elected from Puducherry, alleging that he did not bring in any industrial development into Puducherry.

While criticising the government of Puducherry, she said that AIADMK is taking steps to release fishermen of Tamil Nadu from Sri Lanka and along with them, the fishermen in Karaikal, part of Puducherry are also saved.
