Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday challenged Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi to take him on in a public debate, and also expressed confidence about Kumar Vishwas defeating the latter in elections to be held in the Amethi constituency.
"Kumar Vishwas will defeat Rahul in Amethi. On behalf of Vishwas, I invite Rahul for a public debate," said Kejriwal.
"Vishwas is a famous poet, he could have chosen any safe seat, but he came to Amethi, as he wanted to free Amethi of the Gandhis. Neither is there a school nor a good hospital in Amethi. Earlier, they did not have any other option besides Gandhi, but now they have Vishwas," he said.
Earlier in the day, Kejriwal had urged the people of Amethi to defeat Rahul Gandhi to end dynastic rule in the country.
Addressing a rally here yetserday, Kejriwal said dynastic politics should end in order to weed out corruption from the country.
"I congratulate the people of Amethi and people of the entire country will be thankful to Amethi if they relieve the country of this family (Nehru-Gandhi dynasty)," Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal further said that the BJP and the Congress Party were united due to which they were not attacking each other's candidates.
"From Amethi, Rahul Gandhi, Smriti Irani and Kumar Vishwas are contesting elections. The Congress Party never attacked Smriti Irani. The BJP never attacked Rahul Gandhi. The Congress Party never attacked Narendra Modi, but in Amethi they are attacking Kumar Vishwas, and in Varanasi, they are attacking me," he said.
"We are the enemies of both parties and both parties are together. If the BJP wants to defeat Rahul Gandhi, they should have left this seat empty, and Kumar Vishwas would have won the elections. But they chose Smriti Irani only to divide the number of votes of Kumar Vishwas," he added.
