The CPI(M) today accused the ruling Trinamool Congress of booth capturing and vote rigging during the elections for the 9 Lok Sabha seats in the state and demanded a repoll.
"A large number of booths have been captured by ruling Trinamool Congress cadres. Our polling agents have been driven out of the booths," Left Front chairman Biman Bose alleged.
"There has to be repoll in those booths, so that the people can cast their votes," said Bose, the state secretary of CPI(M).
He also alleged that central forces were not used properly and the Election Commission had failed to ensure free and fair polls.
