BJP candidate from Mathura Lok Sabha constituency Hema Malini and BSP's Yogesh Dwidevi have filed a complaint with the EC against the district administration alleging bias against them.
The two candidates said they being the contenders from the two registered national parties, should have been accorded preference in the the order of names in the EVMs. But their names were placed after SP candidate Chandan Singh and RLD's Jayant Choudhary in the balloting units.
District general secretary of BJP Ravindra Pandey in a statement said the district administration in order to favour the ruling party, placed name of SP candidate at the top in the EVMs. He said a formal complaint in this regard has been forwarded to Chief Election Officer Umesh Kumar Sinha.
