BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will be filing his nomination papers for Vadodara Lok Sabha seat on April 9.
“On 9th I will file my nomination papers for Vadodara Lok Sabha seat. Going to meet Atalji at his residence to seek his blessings,” Modi wrote on his Twitter page. This will be for the first time that Modi will be contesting a Lok Sabha election. Modi will also be contesting from Varanasi seat in Uttar Pradesh.
In Gujarat where the polling is scheduled for April 30, the last date for filing nomination is April 9. A large number of Modi supporters and partymen are likely to accompany Modi on his way to Vadodara returning officers office.
In Vadodara Congress has pitched activist turned politician Mandhusudan Mistry against Modi.
