Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Friday claimed there would be no state in the country where the Congress would be able to get even ten seats, adding that this is going to be the worst defeat in the history of the ruling party.

"No one can save the Congress Government this time. They tried hard to garner voters by changing grounds. First, they were thinking of how to come to power, but after they went among the people, they came to know that this may not happen. So, now, they are thinking of how to create obstructions for the BJP and Modi," said Modi.

"Usually, it is the opposition which aligns with people to break the government in power. But this time, it is the other way round. They only want to stop Modi. They know that once I become PM, they know that they will have nowhere to go. This time, there will be a strong and stable government for the country," he said.

"There has never been a more corrupt government in the country, and this government has ruined the country. Terrorists are killing our army men everyday, and this government keeps waiting for them to repeat the same before taking action," he added.

He also said he knew the issues of Punjab and the whole state even better than Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

"I know Punjab as well as I know Gujarat, and because of this, I know how this state can be made better, and how can the issues of the people of Punjab be addressed," said Modi.

"I know the issues of this place even better than Prime Minister Manmohan Singh because I have had a deeper relation with Punjab than him," he said.

He further said that it was evident from poll trends that the people have already bid goodbye to the Congress.
