BJP national vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said here on Monday that the galloping share market is an indication that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will emerge victorious with full majority in the forthcoming general elections.

The senior leader said, "Markets touched a high soon after the announcement of the polls. It indicates how precarious was the economic situation of the country when it was in the hands of wrong people." Common investors have indicated that they have faith in the coming government.

"Pre polls have indicated that we will win more than 300 seats in the Lok Sabha elections as common people in India want to get rid of the Congress-led government which is corrupt and governs badly. Of these 300 plus seats, more than fifty seats will come from Uttar Pradesh," Naqvi, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, said.

He said his party will announce names of all candidates who will contest Lok Sabha elections in two weeks from now. The party, according to him, will contest on 400 plus seats.

"As of now, Congress has lost all its popularity and is at the last strata due to rampant corruption, inflation and bad governance, which is why they have few options like joining hands with their own proxy party like AAP (Aam Admi Party)," he alleged.

Terming Kejriwal as a pawn of the Congress, Naqvi said Modi had not answered the questions posed by AAP chief as he was working on behalf of the Congress.

"Kejriwal and mandli (group) is floated and supported by Congress. Every now and then, they have a question in hand and we do not think it mandatory to answer every nonsense," Naqvi said when asked why Modi had not answered him.

On Raj Thackeray's recent statement to support BJP-led NDA, Naqvi clarified that a proposal from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena is there but Shiv Sena is one of the prime allies of BJP and will continue to be in future also.

Lambasting Rahul Gandhi for his recent statement made in Bhiwandi about Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) being responsible for killing Mahatma Gandhi, Naqvi stated, "It reflects his Talibani thought process."

He further said, "Our party has a clear agenda to contest elections on good governance, corruption and rising inflation."
