Continuing his tirade against the Congress party’s first family, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Thursday said Priyanka Gandhi’s husband Robert Vadra would leave the country to escape from the investigations into several of his alleged corrupt business deals as the BJP was set to form the government.
The BJP leader said a company floated in the name of Young Indian by the Gandhi family had taken possession of Rs 5,000-crore worth of property meant to be used for running the National Herald newspaper but was converted into residential plots by Vadra. The Congress earlier had clarified that Young Indian was a trust and not a private company. “We attack the Gandhi-Vadra family as they are looting the country and not on personal grounds,” he said at a press conference.
