Former BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu today hit out at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for breaking away from the NDA last year and said the split would ultimately do good for the party in the Lok Sabha elections.
"I think Nitish committed a huge mistake by parting ways with the BJP-led NDA," Naidu told reporters here.
The senior BJP leader, who was on his way to Chapra to attend the filing of nomination by BJP candidate Rajiv Pratap Rudy from the Saran parliamentary seat, said Kumar's decision had actually proved to be a boon for the party as it was expecting to do well in the state during the general elections.
