"Our manifesto will have schemes for the development of the state and the people and will not be like the election manifesto of DMK or AIADMK in the previous elections," DMDK women's wing secretary and wife of party founder Vijayakant said.
Premalatha, who earlier offered worship at the Nellaiappar temple here, said, "We will look into the needs of the people and act accordingly."

She alleged that both AIADMK and DMK that ruled the state for about 50 years had only "cheated" people who were now looking for an alternative. Such an alternative could be provided only by DMDK-People's Welfare Front combine, she said.
Vijayakant has been declared the chief ministerial candidate of the combine.
