One more died during Jayalalithaa's campaign: Reports

One more person died today after falling unconcious in an election campaign of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, according to various reports.

This comes after two deaths were reported owing to a stampede in another election rally by Jayalalithaa in Virudachalam, added the reports.

A police woman was also taken to hospital as she fell unconsious while doing her duty related to the election campaign, said reports.

According to the local reports, one Periachami, from Ramanathapuram, Kadambur, fell unconsious and died while attending the election campaign of the AIADMK leader in Salem.

Earlier this week, it was reported that at least two people were killed and 15 others injured in the stampede related to the election rally where she delivered her speech, in Virudachalam.



The election campaigns are held under the scorching heat, as the heat is increasing day-by-day across the state in the past days.
