The total computerisation of these branches was made functional by SBT general manager (operations) C Soman Roy at a meeting held at the bank's zonal office on Wednesday evening.
Presiding over the meeting, general manager (finance & services) D J Prabhu said the bank proposes to fully computerise all its 671 branches across the country by the end of January 2004, thereby computerising 100 per cent business of the bank.
G Prakash (DGM), K N Murali (AGM), C Gopinathan Nair (general secretary, SBT Employees Union) and R Sreeraj (secretary, All India Bank Officer's Association - SBT Unit) were also present on the occasion.
SBT, an associate bank of State Bank of India, is a Kerala-based bank and around 600 of its total 671 branches are located in Kerala.
